How Do They Work ?

Dental implants are special posts made of titanium or ceramic that are surgically placed into the jawbone to function as roots of missing tooth. During the healing process, these non-toxic materials will integrate with your natural jawbone providing a strong and stable base to support an artificial tooth. With proper home care and and maintenance, dental implants can restore your smile and chewing ability for a lifetime.

How are Implants Placed ?

To maximize comfort and shorten recovery time, implants are surgically placed with the utmost precision. Our in-house CBCT machine allows Dr Maureen to have a detailed 3D picture of your jawbone anatomy prior to the procedure. With the data captured from our CBCT and an implant planning software, we can determine the exact location, size of the implant needed and whether any augmentation is necessary prior to placement.

Does the Procedure Hurt ?

As with every intervention, Dr Maureen will take extra precautions to properly anesthetize the area she is working in. At the time of implant surgery, you may feel pressure but should absolutely not experience any pain nor discomfort.
